Coming soon on Google Play

Free. 60 minutes of dictation every month.

How it works

Tap. Speak. Poured.

01

Tap the mug

Tubby floats over every app. Tap it in any text field to start.

02

Say what you mean

Speak naturally. Ums, pauses, and false starts are fine.

03

Words land

Clean text is inserted right where your cursor was. You decide what happens next.

Four ways to speak

One mug, four pours.

Fast

Raw transcription, quick as it gets. For search boxes and short replies.

Clean

Drops the ums and repeats, fixes punctuation. What you would have typed yourself.

Everyday default

Polished

Rewrites for clarity and tightens wordy phrasing. For messages you want to read well.

Translate

Speak in one language, insert in another.

You said

"um so basically can we uh push the call to thursday morning instead"

Clean typed

"Can we push the call to Thursday morning instead?"

99 languages

Dictate in the language you think in.

Tubby preserves code switching, so mixing languages mid sentence works the way you actually speak.

Privacy

What happens to your voice.

  • Recording happens only while you use the button. Tubby does not listen in the background.
  • Audio is sent for transcription over an encrypted connection, then discarded. No voice recordings are stored.
  • The Accessibility service does one job: finding the text field you are focused on and inserting your words. It does not read your screen as you go about your day, and it never presses send.
  • No ads, no analytics SDKs, no selling of data. This website sets no cookies either.
  • You can delete your account and its data from inside the app at any time.

What it costs

Free. 60 minutes a month.

No credit card, no trial that expires into a paywall. If you need more than an hour a month, that is not available yet, and we would rather say so than surprise you.

60 min of 60 left. Refills every month.

Questions

Fair things to ask.

Why does Tubby need the Accessibility permission?

Android's Accessibility API is how Tubby finds the text field you are focused on and inserts your words into it. That is the only job it does. The app explains the permission before asking, and you can turn it off at any time in system settings.

Which apps does it work in?

Any app with a text field: messengers, email, notes, browsers, search boxes. The mug floats over everything you use.

Which languages does it support?

99 languages for dictation. Translate mode can insert your words in a different language than the one you spoke.

Is my voice stored?

No. Audio is processed to produce your text and then discarded. Tubby stores no voice recordings, on the server or in your account. The privacy policy has the full picture.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Account, then Delete account. It takes effect immediately. No access to the app? Follow the account deletion page.
